Integrity Environmental is a fast-growing company and is seeking a Closed Caption Television  Technician. The objective of the job is to support our ongoing environmental efforts to help utilities, environmental and other companies. We are looking for a long-term employee in our Southern region to provide support to our existing Environmental Remediation Team, specifically in the North Carolina area.

We are seeking an individual willing to or already familiar with working with crawler cameras and assisting with VAC truck operations, and jetting in the Utility and Industrial Sector. This position does require travel in the NC area, manual labor, significant outdoor work, writing and communicating proficiently and effectively, working alone and being able to be a self-starter and motivator. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate crawler cameras and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50lbs
  • Wear OSHA Level D and required personal protective equipment and monitoring devices, preferable if you have higher level of OSHA training such as hazmat.
  • Input, edit and interpret data collected in field and complete daily activity logs, checklists and forms in Excel, Word and various other online systems
  • Ability to read blue prints and/or drawings for pipe and gas systems. 
  • Familiar with WinCam Software is a plus. 
  • Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.)
  • Use of and maintenance of Envirosight Camera Crawler System, Hydro Jetter, and Vac Truck
  • Manual labor

Minimum Qualifications for this position include:

  • Pipeline Assessment Certification Professional (PACP) from NASSCO 
  • High school diploma
  • Computer literate
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check

Preferred Qualifications for this position include:

  • Knowledge of Envirosight software and Camera Crawler Systems, Wincam Software, hydro jetting and vac truck remediation work.
  • College degree, preferably, but not required.
  • Experience working outdoors.

This role’s primary responsibility is to monitor gas extraction wells on several active landfills within the state of VA. A gas sampling device will be used to measure gas composition at each well so that the appropriate adjustment to the extraction rate can be made. The technician will be required to work outdoors approximately 8-10 hours per day, often walking several miles per day.

Other duties which will be required at times include:

  • Use a gas monitoring/sampling device to monitor surface emissions from the landfills.
  • Complete construction related tasks such as well raises and LFG system repairs, HDPE Fusion
  • Clean, install, and troubleshoot pneumatic pumps throughout field
  • Monitor gas wells with supplied instrumentation.
  • Wear OSHA Level D and required personal protective monitoring devices
  • Input, edit and interpret data collected in field and complete daily activity logs, checklists, forms, in Excel and Word
  • Troubleshoot, inspect and repair equipment and machinery
  • Operate small equipment (powertools, skidsteers, manlifts, etc.)
  • Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.)

Must Have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 75 lbs. and walk/stand/bend/kneel/sit for long periods
  • Valid driver's license with a clean MVR
  • Travel is rare but occasionally expected
  • Must be 19 years of age or older and eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check

Job Description

  • Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
  • Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
  • Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
  • Load and unload construction supplies around the worksite manually and with the use of equipment
  • Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
  • Must be able to operate general construction equipment, ie. Skid steer
  • Must be able to drive a UTV over rough terrain on landfills and have a clear MVR to be able to drive our company vehicles, to include pick up trucks
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
